In the module Diversity of the Region as an Impulse for Tourism Developmentwe will try to find answers to following questions:

  • what are the main directions of tourism development in historical cities?
  • can tradition and modernity complement each other and create a uniform tourist product?
  • can authentic culture/customs and regional customs win against broadly understood commercialization?
  • what can be an impulse for the development of tourism in the region?

To deal with above challenges we will visit: Krakow – the historic, UNESCO – listed city, the “Wieliczka” Salt Mine – UNESCO site, Zakopane and Tatra National Park – the most famous national park in Poland.

We plan to give you thematic tasks to face above mentioned issues. We expect creative cooperation and an intercultural approach to problems.
